The National Housekeeper’s Convention (NHC) Shine & Glow, conducted by SOHO, is the annual mecca for all Housekeeping Professionals related to Hospitality, Hospitals, Retail, Airports and large Building Complexes.
When we started Shine & Glow Housekeeping Conference back in 2015, it was just an idea: what if there was a space where hospitality professionals could share ideas, inspire one another, and connect to form a community?
Since then, it’s grown into something much bigger — a celebration of generosity, connection, and the belief that how you make people feel is just as important as the product you serve. It’s a day filled with stories that move you, ideas that stretch you, and people who remind you why you got into this work in the first place.
Once a year, we gather to listen, to learn, to laugh, and to leave better than we came.

The Impact Awards at the Shine & Glow National Housekeepers’ Convention are a time-honoured tradition — recognising housekeeping professionals whose work drives change across the triple bottom line: People, Planet, Profit. In 2025, the Impact Awards also introduced “Laundry” as a category.

The themes covered in the conference are wide and varied and our keynote speakers are titans of industry - GMs, CEOs, Business Heads, Purchase Heads, and more. So any professionals interested in learning more about improving customer experience, working with younger teams, and innovating on how to do business more sustainably should attend. And of course, any and all executive or deputy housekeepers at hotels, malls, hospitals, retail, airports etc. are welcome.
